Project Upcycling
Chhalaang Foundation uses upcycled cloth from stores and factories to train women in stitching and sewing. We also sell the bags & scrunchies stitched by trained women to consumers and retailers directly and at exhibitions.
Fun Fact: Chhalaang has upcycled approximately 20,000 metre square of cloth till date! These clothes laid out together could easily cover a cricket ground!
Chhalaang @ Exhibitions
In an attempt to generate employment opportunities & showcase efforts of our women, we have displayed our bags and scrunchies at several exhibitions like the Plastic Vikalp Mela organised by the Delhi Government, the YMCA Mela, the Rail Mela, exhibitions by The Blind Relief Association, IAS Officers' Wife Association & GE Electric etc.
